IntraCare/ClinCare Among Top 10 Worldwide Recruiters for Sanofi’s ATLAS Trials to Test Dupilumab Efficacy
Carrollton, TX, June 2024 — ClinCare, the research arm of prominent Texas-based Management Services Organization (MSO) IntraCare, is playing a vital role in accelerating the research and development process for French biopharma giant Sanofi’s new asthma drug.
Organizers of Sanofi’s ATLAS (Assessing long-Term Lung function decline with dupilumAb in aSthma) clinical trials are currently recruiting patients from 22 countries to participate in the study. Participants must meet extremely specific pulmonary criteria, making for a very painstaking and time-consuming process.
Diligent efforts from ClinCare have led to the US featuring among the top 10 countries for meeting and/or exceeding the required number of participants.
Leading the recruitment process at ClinCare is Principal Investigator Shakil Ahmed, MD. With over 30 years of experience in internal medicine, and 15 years in conducting clinical research, Dr. Ahmed credits this remarkable achievement to ClinCare’s team’s commitment to advancing medical breakthroughs through rigorous clinical research.

The objective of the ATLAS trials is to measure the efficacy of non-steroid biologic dupilumab in preventing or slowing down lung function decline in adult patients with uncontrolled asthma. Around 82% of enrollment target for the trials has been reached, and recruitment for the study will remain open until October 2026.
