Gwenda started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and earned her associate degree in nursing from Spokane Community College, Washington, in 2011. She later graduated from Bradley University, Illinois, with a nurse practitioner degree in 2018.
Her first nursing position was in the field of family practice, in Colfax, Washington. During graduate school she worked full-time at Banner Baywood Medical Center, Arizona, in the fast-paced and challenging department of neuro-telemetry. In this position, she prides herself on being a mentor, leader, stroke responder, and charge nurse.
Gwenda’s passion for nursing and drive to continue her education have helped her grow into a skilled professional who treats her patients with compassion and empathy. As a result of her hard work, in 2018 she was honored with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
A resident of Gilbert for nine years now, in her spare hours Gwenda invests in quality time with family and friends. She also likes kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and hiking.
